Comment: What a wonderful site. It made me so happy to see the photos of New Lenton. I lived in Park Road Lenton and was really sad when they pulled Willoughby Street and surrounding buildings down.
I went to both the infants and junior school in Lenton and then on to Cottesmore School. I left Cottesmore in 1956.
I would love to see a photograph of Park Street where my grandmother Arnold and her son Bert and wife Alice lived with there two children Susan & David.
My maiden name was Webster.

Comment: I was extremely suprised when researching my Topley family history (who originated from Lenton),to find in your ongoing research, information about my great great uncle, Arthur Topley and other members of his family. I have so far managed to trace the majority of my family back to the 1840's but there are still quite a few grey areas. I never realised how many Topley's there were and how difficult it is to gain access to relevant information. I do however get a great deal of enjoyment and immense pleasure from your site.

Comment: Researching my Grandmother Jessie Taylor who was born 13/12/1885 (or 1886)in Cobden Street.

Her father was Frederick Taylor( a plumber) and mother was Eliza (nee Brown0 from Salmonsby, Lincs.

Jessie married Leslie John Webber ( a lay reader)on 3/7/1915 at St Matthew's in Nottingham.

I would love to hear from anybody with any connection.

Comment: Monty Hinds, The Happy Return, Edna G, Lancers, paying soccer and stoolball against Lenton, Dunkirk and Douglas Primary, playing soccer on Radford rec when Andy Cole of United was 11 years old. I emigrated to Sydney in 87. I lived on Harlaxton, Harrington and Rolleston and went to Roland Green. Growing up in Lenton with all the 2nd generation migrants was great fun. Everyday was a party. I went back in 94 and couldn't believe how quiet Lento had become. Anyway those memories will live forever
