Dennis Hallam on the left wearing white jeans lived at No. 2 Petersham Street and would have been aged about fouteen.  I am the other person in the photograph, aged sixteen, and living at No. 8 Alderney Street. On the right of the photograph is No. 1 Alderney Street where the Holland family lived when they first came to live in Lenton about 1963. On the left is the back gate to the old corner shop which the Newman family used to run in the late 50s. Barbara Newman was one year older than me and when I was little used to take me to school.  I last saw her at the Long Eaton Railway Station in 1972. Later in the 1970s Alan Patman's family moved into the shop.  If either of them read this I should love them to get in touch with me.
