Cottesmore Boys School

This photograph was taken in the Broad Marsh area of Nottingham and features pupils from Cottesmore Boys School queuing to enter an exhibition held in connection with Nottingham's 1949 Qincentenary celebrations, which took place in June and July of that year.  After the exhibition finally closed on 9th July the building displaying the Local Government Exhibition, the former Canaan Street Chapel, caught fire and this resulted in the loss of many valuable exhibits.
