This letter heading was sent to us by Dave Jewell.  His grandfather, Richard Jesse Jewell, is the R.J. Jewell, proprietor, listed at the top while the Manager, S.V. Jewell is his father, Stanley Victor Jewell.  The Jewells would appear to have run the Priory Garage before the Bott family took it on.  Given that the the letter heading bears the year 193_  we are probably talking about the mid to late 1930s. Dave knows very little about this Lenton business as he is the product of his father's second marriage, which prompted his father to go and live in Leicester from the mid 1950s onwards.
