Lenton Times - The Society's Magazine

 

The first issue of Lenton Times was produced by Lenton Local History Society in 1988.  We have now published over twenty five issues.  Although the magazine originally came out twice a year the interval between issues is now approximately nine months.  


The next issue No. 30 is expected in May 2011

 

 

Getting your own copy

The magazine can be obtained from local newsagents, as part of a subscription to Lenton Local History Society, or alternatively on a subscription basis placed with the Editor.  Copies of the magazine currently cost £1.20 plus an additional charge for postage and packing.  Current subscription rates are as follows:

Back Issues

Issues 1, 2, 3 and 6 have now sold out, but we still have copies of all the remaining issues.  A brief synopsis of what each of these issues contains is included elsewhere.  Given that the first three issues are out of print, and as a taster for our remaining issues, we have provided access to most of the articles included in those issues on this web site.   Not all the photographs have been reproduced and occasionally we make reference in the text to things in the photographs which are clearly not visible via this means of access.  Our apologies for this.  The photographs come out much better in their original format. Anyway we trust you will still find the articles a good read.

If you would like to purchase any back issues we can offer a postal service. Our charge for this is the cover price (see below) plus the cost of postage and packing.,

All the available backcopies are now available from Nottingham Tourist Office, Smithy Row, Nottingham Council House, Nottingham City Centre .  Please ask at the counter for them.  However this outlet does not handle any postal enquiries.

Cover Price - Issues 4 to 6 (inclusive) - £0.70 each.  Issues 7 to 8 (inclusive) - £0.80 each.  Issues 9 to 16 (inclusive) - £1.00 each.  Issues 17 to 26 (inclusive) - £1.20 each.
