Prior to the construction of this new building in 1882/3 Lenton's Primitive Methodists had operated in the old church hall on Priory Street.  This photograph shows the Abbey Street premises in c.1919.

A troop of the Girls Life Brigade used to meet in the church.  This photograph taken in the 1950s shows a 'trooping of the colours' ceremony.

The cast from one of the church pantomimes put on in the early 1950s.
