Peter Holland was standing on Harley Street when he took this photograph looking along Osmaston Street in 1978.

 

Looking down Osmaston Street in 2004 from the same vantage point as Peter Holland but with the camera angle turned slightly to bring the properties on the southern side of the street into view.  No stray dog, however, is evident this time around.

 

A 2005 view of Osmaston Street taken at the junction with Chilwell Street and looking along it towards the junction with Harley Street and on along Prospect Place.

Taken by John Bridgewater in 2007. John tells us that the property with the rendered frontage used to be a shop.  He can recall Terry Khera running the shop and that it was taken later taken over by Maisie and Mick McNamara.  We have yet to pinpoint the era he is referring to.
