The first issue of Lenton Times was produced by Lenton Local History Society in 1988. We have now published over forty five issues.

The magazine now comes out twice a year.

Getting your own copy

The magazine can be obtained from local newsagents, as part of a subscription to Lenton Local History Society, or alternatively on a subscription basis placed with the Editor. Copies of the magazine currently cost £2.00 plus an additional charge for postage.

Current subscription rates are as follows:
UK £16.00 for the next four editions.

Cheques should be made payable to 'S. Zaleski', made out in sterling only and sent to:

Alternatively you can arrange to make the payment by bank transfer but you would need to contact us first.

Where to buy Back Issues in Nottingham

It used to be possible to purchase backcopies at Nottingham Tourist Centre. This is no longer the case and we don't currently have an alternative outlet.

We are willing to hand deliver any number of back copies to addresses in the following localities: Lenton, Lenton Abbey, The Park, Wollaton Park estate, Wollaton, Beeston, Chilwell and Toton. These deliveries will not incur any postal charges. In the first instance pontential purchasers need to contact us by email. tell us which copies are required and we can then provide our bank details in order for purchasers to make a bank transfer or you can pay cash on delivery. All those living in other areas of Nottingham or further afield will need to pay - not only the cost of the magazines - but also the relevant postal charges. Alternatively potential purchasers can take up the special offer outlined below.

The magazine also includes adverts for local businesses.

The advertising rates for the next issue are:

An eighth of a page - £5.00
A quarter of a page - £9.00
Half a page - £17.00
A full page - £34.00

We also seek to involve a local business in sponsoring an issue. We acknowledge this sponsorship on the inside front cover and include a page-long spread on the business. Sponsors are currently asked for £50. Anyone interested in becoming a sponsor or wanting more details about advertising in the magazine is asked to contact the Editor.
